My 3 Year Old iPhone 5s Works Better Than Ever
I’ve seen countless articles about iOS updates breaking iPhones.
Here’s the opening line from a Huffington Post article:
Ever wonder why your iPhone seems to slow down after a few years? Why the once-amazing device gets cranky and struggles to perform basic tasks or load apps?
Well, that’s just not the case for me.
I purchased my iPhone 5s about 3 years ago.
I may have skipped an iOS update or two early on, but since then, I ‘ve made sure to keep my iOS up to date.
Towards the end of last year, Apple added Lower Power mode.
It felt like Apple had personally reached through my phone screen, fist bumped me and said “we got you, bro.”
So why do so many others have such negative experiences with their aging iPhones?
Perhaps they have poor charging habits? Or they have too many unused apps, wasting space?
A device that lasts 3 years is impressive, and even more impressive is a device that improves with age.
There really isn’t a conclusion to this story. I just felt it was worth announcing to the world that for some people, Apple products last.
Has anyone else had a similar (or opposite) experience with their old iPhone?
