Our Top 3 South Coast Metro Lunch Spots With Great Design
At ANDesign we spend a lot of time thinking about what’s for lunch. We have tried just about every option in the South Coast Metro (area surrounding South Coast Plaza and John Wayne Airport in Orange County) and keep coming back to these three. Not only is the food great, but the atmosphere and design make these our stand out favorites.
#1. Blaze Pizza
Located adjacent to UCI at University Center, the super clean assemble line style, build your own pizza shop is a hit!!
The design of the restaurant is clean and sophisticated with the use of raw metal and dark stained wood, with accent of burnt orange and black. The open floor plan and relaxed environment are a winner for a quick and easy, quality lunch.
The pizza itself is great! thin crust and your choice of just about every topping you can think of makes the perfect pizza a reality.
#2. California Shabu Shabu
This ultra modern bar style restaurant includes a giant meat slicer as a centerpiece for the dining area and provides an interactive experience that is not only fun, but filling!
The high quality ingredients are a stand out feature at California Shabu Shabu. Fresh meat and veggies, a few drops of their famous “hot drops”, and excellent service makes this place an instant success.
Great for a long lunch or a late dinner… but watch out, it gets packed and you will have to wait!
Located at the LAB Anti-mall, and just a few blocks from our lab…. it’s a favorite for impressing that new client or hot date! The bar is great for a mojito (try the raspberry version), they are great! The food is an amazing mix of salads, sandwiches and traditional Cuban dishes. They get it right in every way!
The LAB is an old factory converted to a mall and restaurant space, and it works perfectly for Habana. The weathered, crumbly walls and heavy wooden door give the feel of old Cuba, while great music and a heated patio and fire pit provide a great place to relax for hours.
Perfect for a long lunch or an evening out… Habana is a hidden gem of Orange County…
